Dean S. Diamond

Managing Partner

After working four years at a competitor firm, Dean joined New York Life in 2004, as an agent in the Boston General Office, one of the largest and most successful agencies within the New York Life Career Agency system. He was a President’s Council qualifier and earned entry into the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table¹, an internationally industry-wide organization which represents the top two percent insurance producers worldwide.

Harvey G. Allison CLU®, ChFC®, CFP®, CLF®

Senior Partner

Harvey started his career in financial services with New York Life in 2004. Prior to joining to New York Life he served as a fee based financial planner for Met Life in Charlotte, NC. With New York Life, he served as a Partner and Senior Partner in the Charlotte General Office before being named Managing Partner for the Nashville General Office in 2012. Under his leadership, the Nashville General Office won the prestigious Executive Vice Chairman’s Trophy for New Organization Sales, The View From the Top Award, and the Life Product Trophy. His office was also awarded the Long Term Care Trophy (two years). He also earned membership into the Partner’s Round Table.

Cory C. Ott

Partner

Cory began his career with New York Life in June of 2014 as an agent in Charlotte, North Carolina. In only eight short months he qualified for Executive Council, won the New Associate of the Year Award, and qualified as an Annuity Elite Member at the silver level. He was promoted to management in the Charlotte General Office in February of 2015. By June of 2015 Cory was recognized as a top Partner nationally, qualifying for the Gathering of Eagles, New York Life’s top tier for recruiting and unit production. In his first four months as a Partner, Cory’s associates won the Career Success Award. In 2017, Cory qualified as a Top 50 Partner nationally with New York Life.

Bogdan Ryabyy

Partner

Bogdan Ryabyy began his career with New York Life in May of 2014, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In 2016, Bogdan and his wife, Irina, moved to Charlotte to be closer to family. In his three (3) short years with New York Life, Bogdan won multiple awards including: Comeback Agent of the Year with a 230% year over year commission growth, top 25 in Life Commission within the South Central Zone, top 1% in Life Cases – writing over 200 policies in 1 year, and New Org Agent of the year in 2016.

Bogdan has qualified for Executive Council Premier and became an advisory board agent for our Worksite Development Team. In 2017, Bogdan Ryabby became a Partner with New York Life Charlotte!

Stanley “Stan” Banks

Associate Partner

After working 2 years at a competitor firm, Stan joined New York Life in 2017 as an agent in the Charlotte General Office. As a first year agent with New York Life, Stan was one of the top new organization producers, qualifying for Executive Council, the Associate Partner Program, and contributing to the overall success of the office. Charlotte was one of the top producing offices in 2017, recognized with 4 out of 5 national trophies.

Jason Page became an Associate Partner with New York Life in April of 2018. He specializes in the development of advisors for B2B and B2C sales of Financial and Risk Management solutions.

James “Mike” Lowery

Associate Partner

Mike is a graduate of Western Carolina University and has a Master In Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Mike has been a very successful Senior Pastor in three different churches over the last 35 years and is a gifted speaker and presenter.

Kelli Unwin

Sales Development Manager

Kelli began her career in the insurance industry as a property casualty agent in 2009 with a company in upstate New York. In October of 2011, she joined New York Life as an agent in the Des Moines, IA General Office. While being an agent she was a Premier Executive council agent and recipient of the Life Foundation Award, protecting over 100 lives in the community in her first calendar year. After success as a Financial Professional, she decided to pursue the Sales Development Manager opportunity first in Milwaukee in 2013, before relocating to the Charlotte office in June of 2015. In spring of 2017 she earned the promotion to Senior Sales Development Manager. Kelli is committed to the development of our local Financial Service Professionals in order to help improve the financial situation of those in our community.

Denise Johnson, MBA

Senior Agency Standards Consultant

Denise is the Agency Standards Consultant for the Charlotte General Office (GO). She began her career with New York Life in October, 2002, spending three and half years as an agent in the Northern Ohio GO. Denise achieved Executive Council in her first full year with the company and was promoted in June, 2006 as an Agency Standards Consultant for the Charlotte and Greenville general offices.

Denise is originally from Shaker Heights, Ohio and is a graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining New York Life, Denise was an auditor with Ernst and Young, LLP and received her MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management (Case Western Reserve) in Ohio. Denise currently resides with her family in the Charlotte area.

Jennifer Pierce

Jennifer Pierce

Recruiting Assistant

Jennifer Pierce was raised in Boone, NC. She attended Appalachian State University where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Construction Technology. She would later receive her General Contractor License and her Real Estate License. Afterspending five (5) years building custom homes, Jennifer changed direction and went into the hospitality industry. In 2009, she moved to Charlotte to be the Assistant General Manager of a hotel in South Park. After seven (7) years, a marriage, and a baby, Jennifer decided she needed a more family oriented career. In January of 2017, Jennifer joined New York Life as a Recruiting Assistant. She is looking forward to working with new agents and helping others transition into a new career path that can truly make an impact on generations to come.

E.F. Buster Kenny, CLTC®

LTC Product Consultant

Buster has a truly extensive knowledge of Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCi) and the importance of planning for long-term care. His goal is to help Agents identify opportunities and then assist every step of the way, from approach to policy delivery. He’ll help determine and understand prospect and client needs and wants. This gives Agents a chance to cross-sell, since the idea is to design a solid overall plan. Buster is happy to do what it takes – attend appointments, conduct Agent seminars and consumer workshops, and even hold public speaking events to educate people about the issues and needs surrounding this industry.

When you work with Buster, you’ll find he is very passionate about this product. His personal experience with family members let him see firsthand how people who didn’t have LTCi were impacted financially, emotionally, and physically.

In his spare time, Buster is an avid sailor. He has been married for 27 years and has four grown children.

Costaninos “Costa” Zourzoukis

Business Development Consultant

Constantine is the South Central Zone Business Development Consultant helping to grow Worksite. He brings with him over 20 years of extensive management experience and the ability to influence sales towards increasing case rate and reoccurring premium.

Zourzoukis joined New York Life in December 2011 and has since achieved many of the company's highest honors. He achieved case rate leader in 2012, 2013 and 2014, Life Foundation award winner in 2013 and Centurion winner in 2013 and 2014. He made Executive Council in 2013 and was awarded Executive Council Premier in 2014.

Constantine attended George Mason and is working towards a major in English. He became an agent mentor in 2012 and continues in that capacity today.

Jackie Tubb

Life Product Consultant

Jackie Tubb has been working to protect and grow wealth for clients and their families since 2011. For the first 2 years of her career with New York Life, Jackie worked as an agent in Greenville, SC. She worked mostly with young professionals and small business owners.

Joe Baumgartner

Investment Solutions Consultant

Joe graduated from the University of Delaware in 2009, where he studied Finance and Economics. Joe also played 4 years of ice hockey and was team captain in the 2008/2009 season.

After graduating he worked over the next 3 years as a Financial Advisor with Diamond State Financial Group and then PNC Investments. In 2011, while at PNC, his branch achieved the highest percent-to-goal growth of investment revenue in the region (180%).

Over the last 3 years Joe has worked as an Investment Product Consultant with New York Life. He specializes in the annuity suite of products (both Variable & Fixed), as well as, MainStay mutual funds. He has a deep knowledge of capital markets and is a CFA Level III candidate. He currently lives in Charlotte, NC.

Lisa Rosso

Corporate Vice President - Administrative Manager

Lisa began her New York Life career as an Office Assistant I in the New Business area of the Montgomery General Office. During this time she went to school full time as well and obtained her Bachelors in Business Administration at Troy State University in 1998. In November 1999 she was assigned as the Administrative Manager at the Birmingham General Office in Alabama. After a 6 year tenure in Birmingham she was promoted as the Director of Operations in the Charlotte General office in October 2005. Currently, she holds the title of Corporate Vice President – Administrative Manager in the Charlotte G.O. and oversees the daily administrative operation.

Teresa Little, FLMI, ACS

Senior Specialist

Teresa Little started working at New York Life on June 7, 1977 - over 40 years ago! She began as an Administrative Assistant, helping to write Recruiting Letters. It wasn’t long before she was asked to take over as a Supervisor. She obtained her Associate’s Degree from Central Piedmont Community College as well as Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), an Associate in Customer Services (ACS), and an Advanced Communicator – Silver from Toastmasters International. Teresa loves to read and enjoys clogging. She has recently began playing the guitar. Hertrue love is the volunteer work which she does through her church.

Dorothy Moss

Dorothy Moss started with New York Life over 30 years ago in August of 1987. Before moving to the Charlotte General Office, Dorothy worked at the Columbia, SC General Office until it closed in 1987. During her career, Dorothy won Staff Member of the Year seven (7) times. Her greatest passion is volunteering as a sponsor for the Special Olympics.

If you remember the true purpose of what you do – HELPING clients plan their finances and for their futures – everything else will fall into place. Melissa Brooks

Senior Representative, Contracting & Licensing

Melissa Brooks started with New York Life in May of 2002, in New Business/Client Services Department then moving to Contracting and Licensing Department. In 2014, she graduated Cum Laude from Strayer University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Melissa won Staff Member of the year award in 2007, 2012, 2015, and 2016. She enjoys reading and herbology. Originally from New Mexico, Melissa and her family moved to Charlotte in 1996. For Melissa, the most rewarding part of her job is working with the agents and watching them achieve their goals

Kathryn “Kathie” Frank

Client Representative

Kathie joined New York Life in October of 1965, after completing the Commercial Business Course at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Over the last 52 years, Kathie was the Administrative Assistant to the Charlotte Office’s five previous Managing Partners! Today, Kathie is the heart and soul of the Charlotte office. She performs a wide variety of duties, but most importantly, reminds us each and every day, what a wonderful company we work for.
